Announcement

The current management behind the FT team is different now.
U all may be wondering why did we switch from BoF to FT, here's several reasons.

1. the layout in FT is so much easier and organized. (we can't seem to find a good layout for BoF)
2. FT already have its own logo, and most people have already linked FT.

Do note that we have ammended the notes at the sidebar etc. ya.

Dear Fashion Truth,

I've been meaning to write about this for a long time, but never got around to it.
It was a month ago (I think), when I saw this top in Lush Serendipity that I was interested in.
I e-mailed LS, and we managed to set the time and place for COD.
Then, I decided to change the COD location, and she said okay, her partner will meet me instead.

Unfortunately, on that day, my class ended late, but even so, I rushed to the COD location, which is about 50 minutes away from my college.
I managed to reach about 5 minutes before our agreed COD time, just to have her partner call me and say he's not coming, because "he does not want to be stuck in a jam". He KNEW there would be a jam at that area in th evening. If I could make it from so far away, why couldn't he? Or at least, why didn't he call earlier to let me know?
I was quite unhappy about it, but there was nothing I could do, so I agreed to meet him at a later time.
He promised to be there at 9pm, whereas my class finishes shortly after 9.
Again, I rushed out as soon as my class ended, to find that he was not waiting where he promised.
I gave him about 10 minutes, then I msged him, asking where he was. No reply.
I waited another 10 minutes, then I called him. Couldn't get through. So I msged him again, and AGAIN no reply.
By 9.40, I was the only one standing in near darkness, in our agreed location, waiting for him.
By 9.50,I was damn pissed and fed up so I left. I messaged LS, and all she said was "omg sorry, want to set up another meeting time?" or something close to that.
As I was still pretty pissed off, I did not reply.

The next day, I received a call from her partner in the evening, and without a single word of explanation or apology, he just said 'Hi,when do you want to meet up again?'.
Are you kidding?!? Did he really think I was still interested in doing business with him? No, is the right answer.
I told him I wasn't free and he said okay, let me know when you're free, then he hung up.

After that, I didn't hear a single word from either one of them.
Needless to say, I never got that top. Nor did I ever visit their site again.

What I'm trying to say is, as a buyer, I have done COD's with Ancient Orchids, Clothesbucket, etc and I never let the sellers wait for me. I was always the one to be there earlier, and I would expect them to be on time. Even if they're late, they would call or message to let me know. At least then I wouldn't be waiting in vain for nobody.

Hello,

I was at the A Fair Weekend bazaar yesterday (28th,Saturday) at Soho KL and i find it to be very poorly publicized. Compared to other bazaars, this bazaar has more aunties and older ladies shopping rather than young girls. It was pretty empty too for such a wide, open space.

But anyways, i had a good time shopping. Bunny Noo was there and she was really friendly and cheerful, alot of smiles from her. :) I can imagine why most online shoppers only say nice stuff about her, she's very nice in person too. And i also met The Bouncing Bananas and Piperlips who were situated together. (Is Michelle Lim the same girl from both blogshops? or is she just a model?) They were all very friendly too, and they seem to have alot of fun. Very rowdy and loud girls, but in a good way. I wouldn't mind hanging out with them at all!

Lush Serendipity was there too, if im not mistaken just a few shops away from Bouncing Bananas. She didnt smile much when i was browsing through her items, but she was quite polite when answering questions. Her items were all very pretty, but i thought they were quite pricey.

These were mainly my observations, the few blogshops which actually caught my attention. The rest were all okay, nothing displeasing. But this bazaar seriously needs to work on publicizing their event. I dont think rentals are cheap for a place like that. Probably the only peple making lotsa money are the organizers themselves, no offense. Maybe on Sunday there are more people, who knows.

I recently just bought a 2 baby milo tees from What's Your Flavor?
I know it' a new blogshop, and I actually only buy online items from TheSugarCouture, or Kawaii-FullHouse.
I wanted to give What's Your Flavor a try, as there were many designs of baby milo tees.
So, there, I bought 2 baby milo tees.
& dissapointingly, both of them were not as what I seen in the picture.
The ones that I got, both pictures are almost fading away & I think it'll probably last for 3months?
I wouldn't want to be going into details.

I'm actually doing Business Studies currently, and I'm studying about Consumer's Protection: Scam & Rip Offs.
& as a student myself, I've got caught in one of the scams.
I obviously should've notice that, online shopping is a very dangerous thing to do.

So here's a piece of advice.
Try to only buy from online shopping blogs, if the owner is someone you know.
Or you have tried purchasing from the shopblogs itself.
There's plenty of blogshops out there, that has plenty of unsatisfied customer, and I am one of the for What Your Flavor.

Oh & for blogshops that I can trust myself, from now on.
Is probably The Sugar Couture, Kawaii-FullHouse, & Bibabot (I'm not sure about the spelling)?

Thanks a bunch,
anonymous.

from What's Your Flavour

hi dear
i need to know which designs cuz the baby milo tee we ownself take the stock from one of our supplier as we just take order from the customer as what they want and ordered.
For so far,all our customer who had bought the tee they love it and they keep buying from us again everytime we update new designs.
She can return to us to tell us the matter and we can exchange cuz i also need to reconfirm with my supplier.
And this i can seek the problem with my supplier.
No worries. We wont sell other item than the pic because the pics is i took it myself and i didnt pass this work to others.
I guess most probably the printing error on the tee.
Do mail us .No probs.
Thanks ya =)
I understand cuz im a buyer too and i had faced this prob before as the pic colour was very nice until i get the item was a darker colour.

i participated the bazaar and was there early.
i was there as a buyer, and arrived on saturday at 3K before noon.
that time, things were still in a mess, many stalls were not set up properly. so since i was there already, i took a walk around the place, checking out stalls that are already ready.

i think there was some issues between sellers and the organizer coz many sellers didn't appear to be happy. they seem frustrated and angry

u know, prior to this bazaar, i always thought that sellers are always friendly. maybe it's just me who stereotype all sellers as the cheery-smiley-face girls who would always put on their smiles and best behaviour and .. make more friends than enemies. ok, the last one is abit out. but yes! i saw their "true colours" when they were upset and wanted things to be done.

i'm not saying that their true colours are bad. they're like firm and stern.
no more smiles, no more pleasant 'hellos' and 'goodbyes'. some were loud and rude.

it's shocking to see how these sellers can act under different circumstances, and it surely changed my opinion about them. i know about the mess during the bazaar after hearing so much talk about it, but i kinda expected sellers to act in a more gracious way. i'm not sure how i expect them to behave, but not this way.

there's always two sides to a person, perhaps?

from Kay..
(in reference to the 3K bazaar held last weekend)

-----------------------------------

Unreasonable, unacceptable, immatured explanations that you don't want to expose House of Allure? Well I'm really sorry if I gave you some lame justifications upon why the conditions and organization of the bazaar were so bad, but you don't even bother to try to see that it was me juggling everything at the same time. I was seriously tired and fed up...and still trying to be nice to you. wonder if you could pull that off. I know you had the right to be pissed. But it's only right that I feel insulted reading your comment.

Listen. I did this completely for a friend, as a favour. Maybe I shouldn't have accepted, cos I was informed and given instructions all of sudden right before the bazaar began friday night. I was very reluctant but I didn't want to let her down. So I guess you could say, I lifted the heavier part of the load. If I didn't agree, she'd have been left hanging and there'd have been NO bazaar. You think it's easy to say no, but she was a close mate since school so I didn't want to reject it. It may have been a split second decision for you, but then again I'm not you.

I'm not even involved in the online boutique blogging community, so excuse me for being outraged that my personal blog has been posted up for show here and that my image is being tarnished. I consider this a rude invasion of my privacy after doing a good deed for someone.

Further down, someone made a comment about me being from sarawak? Does that make you far superior to me, being from KL? Get a reality check miss.

And to some of you who managed to see past this and offered me some comfort during this ordeal, I'd like to say I really appreciated it. Despite the fact that you lugged all your stuff and paid so much for rental as I've heard numerous times. I tried to help you as much as possible, but even so I don't blame you for asking for refunds. I would too.

Seller 50

Dear FT,
I run an oline blogshop selling accessories since December. Everything was quite ok and customer were nice. But recently I have been told by 2 customer their parcel went missing. One at TTDI area another one at Metro A Zon 5 area somewhere around KL Centre.
I don't know is it the postmen fault or somebody steal their parcel from their mailbox cos they were using Pos Express which doesn't need any recipient signature.
I was wondering, Should I fully refund to customer which their parcel went missing? But literally they're paying free money receiving nothing...
If I should refund, how many % from the total amount should be refund?
T&C were stated in most blogshop saying they're not responsible for the lost or damage of parcel during the delivery process, but once the buyer ask for refund, it's kinda hard to resist because we don't wanna lost our customer right?
Really hope to hear opinion from both buyer and seller. Maybe together we can figure it out a perfect solution for both side when parcel missing incident happen to any one of us.
Another thing, I hope buyers can be more responsible after they have made any order at any blogshop. After you asked and ordered the items, if you don't wish to purchase the item then at least you can let the seller know by telling them so that seller won't be hanging there don't know what to do. Especially hot selling items. Some people enquired the same item, but due to the irresponsibility behaviour of previous person went MIA after ordered, we seller actually don't know should we or shouldn't we sell the item to other person.
Please buyers, check your mailbox see is there any unreply emails to the seller. At least make seller confirm the cancellation of your purchase. This will help us to clean up our mailbox ALOT. ^^
Thank you FT for publishing this letter.
Hope buyers and sellers can both have fun trading in the e-shopping world!

From House of Allure

dear FT,
read all d comments in your blog regarding to 3k bazaar held recently. i was there of course.
yes, it was horrible and weakly managed. i have been joining countless bazaar, and to date this is the worst organizer i've ever encountered.

but that's not the reason i'm writing to you. i'm just not happy with seller 48 allegations, she mentioned my brand (house of allure) for taking up larger space than what has been provided. Did she know that i have to share my space with lawa-lawa? funny when people just want to make noise without knowing the fact. and lawa-lawa and i had to compromise with roundbean owner (if i'm not mistaken, that's d stall name) to place our table and combine with their table, so we could place our name cards , plastic bags etc.

that was why i asked from Kay (the messenger) for refund and told her i am not interested to join on sunday. come to think about this i should have asked for my space rent on saturday too!! buut nevermind la, my sales already cover the space rent.

upon complaining, Kay gave such unreasonable, unacceptable and immatured expanations to me, which i don't want to expose in here. To me this is going to be my first and last time joining them. Perhaps, they should just concentrate on their studies first. Rather than making life of others in such miserable conditions.i mean that place was not comfortable for both sellers and buyers. Just word of advice, please brush up your rapport skills because all the vendors are their customers. Any organizers should have come to each vendors and check on them, asked if we were having any problems, a simple hi would do!!

so, seller 48, get your info right before dragging other person in your problem, just because you are not happy with any particular party. just remember, i am a victim too!!

how come Ablinc didnt admit she's part of the org team this morning?

how come they squeezed 59 vendors when THEY PROMISED 45?

that part was already compensated with refunds for Saturday. =)

why does ablinc. even have pictures of the flyer-giving process in the first place?
we have those pictures because we were gonna post it up saying the bazaar took place.

ABLINC can provide the complete list of 9 organizer and meet up with vendors tomolo or not?
you wanna know, we can meet up tml or day after. would be around late night though..

ABLINC..who are the other 9 u keep mentioning?

dear ABLINC, i think a refund should be given to those with sucky places on sat, even though they were already refunnded for sunday;s rental. its only fair
yes, thats why i asked u guys to email me like MOC did.

how come ablinc got a bigger space than others? just because she's organiser? how come ablnc got to set up earlier? double standards? how come ALL evidence (including bnw signed with 3K) is only michelle law and no one else?

What is the facebook event link for the 3K Bazaar because Ablinc said earlier that a lot of people rsvp to the event.

can you sleep well tonight?

does that mean that the email address law_hui_tze@hotmail.com was only used for u to make orders and back out? u've done so to a few sellers, dont u feel bad? dont u regret?

if u dont want others to back out on u, then why did u do so in the first place? and when customers back out, why did u spam their cboxes?

do u think u've done sufficient advertising/promotion for this event?

how come some stalls are given (or they took) more space than others? like sugar dressing, fashion reborn, house of allure.. while others were all squeezed at one corner?

will u organize/be part of the organizing commitee for another bazaar?

do u honestly think u've handled the whole situation in a proper way? do u think u're a patient and polite person when it comes to this sort of issues?

---------------------------------------------
from ABLINC

hi babe!
I did say i was helping out and gave them the other number to contact a member.
Hrm.. i dont really understand some ques, will ans best i could! those answered, i will leave it yea?

Adverts, no i believe could have been done better, flyers were sufficient but not really enough. I believe
there should have been ads in the magazines and newspapers. We tried to advert in it, but they said
we had to tell them at least 1 month in advance which was too late. I facebooked everyone i knew in my friend's list using my own facebook. =)

Some stalls paid more for a bigger booth, while others were selfish, and took up more than were
supposed to.(i believe this was in my pervious clarification letter). =)

Yes, i will most likely be organizing one in a mall, with bigger space etc. I will definately learn from all of this, give vendors BIG BIG BIGGGG space!!!! hahas. As for the refunds, have given it for those who deserves it: MOC CLOTHESBUCKET VIBRANT SWIRLS JAC ENTERPRISE SWEETIE GARDER HW2SHOP JEREMY WONG QUADRUPLE QUEEN SUPERROLLING OH MY CLOTHES and some which i cant rmb.

As for my next bazaar, i do not know whether some will stil participate, but i will guarantee that the next one will be planned for at least 2 months ahead. You guys might criticise/insult me more, but its okay babes, i will take it on the silver lining view. and i will try my best get a night's sleep. =) Thanks and very very sory for all the trouble we have caused u guys.. Very sorry.

babe the first ques i answer edi le!!! hahaha. i said i used my own facebook ler! =p

And yes and no. that email is used for orders but usually buyers tell me that if it has passed 2 days w/out payment, they will let the item go, so i always assume if i changed my mind, means after 2 days, its released. Because this is usually how my backout buyers are too. Lol. And yes, i do regret, because i admit i do have a bad temper and often very regretful bout it.. Have apologised to blogshops who talked back nicely to me bout it as i feel terrible afterwards..

Hi babe, as a frequent buyer, i do back out because i tend to change my mind, but its not on purpose, if i really like the item, i will get them but sometimes im just not sure so i might change my mind.. I have bought from PHat culture,Pumpkin,Model Studio, sexy before, and i have bought more than once.. =) I do feel bad, thats why now i dont backout anymore..Another reason if i suddenly back out is if the seller is very rude..

So this is where i learn.. I think i could have done better. As for the others, as i have said before, i wont mention here, for everthing can be googled. ANything, we can meet up. Just give us a heads up!

hey FT, here's proof that ABLINC gave KAY the job, and not "sarah". you can see in the picts that Kay calls ABLINC by the nick "moonie". please do post this up!taken from *click*

Hie babe, yea we offered her the job. Wasnt that in the clarification letter previously?

from FT
lol we just received the mail (from the reader). so we just sent it to u (ablinc).
coz in your previous mail, u said that sarah offered her the job =)

from Ablinc
yea.. i intro-ed her to Sarah, the main organiser, who hired her. I offered kay. ??

Seller 47

Hey babe, thanks. I don't want to be too long-winded on this so here goes.

I'm NOT the organiser for the bazaar, BUT i am a co-organiser. i only get a commision for every booth i get to participate and i get a cheaper rate as well because i am helping her to organise this.

Yes, i know the organiser, Sarah Lau, so what if i do?? Is it so wrong to be friends with an organiser of a crappy bazaar??Geez. I didnt dare to reveal myself as the co-organiser because i was afraid things would go wrong and i would get the blame for something i did not do! So Sarah decided to hire Kay couple of weeks ago.

When the bazaar actually happened, i saw all the chaos, and yes, i was shocked. But in my opinion, the problems/complaints only happened on Saturday by 12 vendors out of 60. Not like some people exaggerate and saying all.

From what i saw, many vendors were "persuaded" to sign some petition form on Sat night. When a booth did not want to, and said they were happy with their booth, the girl just kept giving reasons to sign until the vendor finally gave up and signed.

Earlier on, Sarah had lost her hp in a snatch theft case in Subang, infront of the "kopitiam" called face-to-face. I was with her, with my bf and her with hers.If you guys need clarification, u can ask those working nearby those area. A police report was lodged. So i lent her my phone, because i had an extra one. Only today did she give it back to me, and that is when i msged those who smsed me telling u guys of her newly attained number.

On a separate note, i had told YSK before that i was helping my fren organise a bazaar. Now why would i do that unless its true?? And i'm very sure Sarah had told u guys that this was a "rented" number(my number), and said she will get her number back asap.

On the case of lodging a police report, i confronted Mr. Thiraj and asked him whether all this was true, he said it was not. He said everything about him and his clients are P&C, and there was no way anyone would say anything, any name, whatsoever. So its really clear you guys are making all this up, with whatever u can get ur hands on.

Should any of u wish to find out the truth, u can go to the 3K Inn Hotel, and ask urself. Because Mr.Thiraj himself said he has no problem with us. If u guys have a problem, its between the organisers and vendors. Not him. He would not lodge any report. Right now, i'm very sure many blogs are taking this opportunity to try to sabotage whatever they can. This is girl's human nature ok. As for the backout, there was a perfect explanation for it with MOC, and im sure they were mad for the backout, but i explained it to them properly, rather than iggnoring it and running away, because i know what is true and what is not. Foul language, cmon la, who doesnt use foul language when they're angry? Esp when sellers are rude to them, of cos we would retaliate and defend ourselves.

As fr the rental for the 3K inn Bazaar, it was RM1950 PER DAY, without promo. Do the maths, it never even reached 5k, whats to say 10K. Please stop being childish and spamming every chatbox as u possibly can, because if u want any explanation, whatever, EMAIL US. Otherwise, its very obvious that u're just trying to sabo others. As for Kay, so what if she's from Swak? Do you know how many students in Taylors/Sunway is from Swak?? SHEESH.

As for the lack of space, MANY MANY vendors were very selfish and brought more than 1 metre long racks. Of course there wasnt enough space, but she refunded those who werent happy. whatever the case, the only reason i shop so loud, laugh so loud is because that is who i am. My customers would know that. So there is no reason why i shouldnt be that way at the bazaar! After all, bazaars are there for u to shop.

As for those unhappy vendors, they were refunded the money as well. So all compensation has been carried out to those who were unhappy. However, i do know that they were many vendors who had perfectly good location and space, and wanted a refund because they did not have any business. Of course, there is no refund from that. Cmon girls, please get clarification before making stuff up.

Dear FT,
I have been thinking of voicing this issue for quite some time.
As we are aware, currently teal has become one of our favourite colours whwen purchasing clothes and I have often come across many online shops selling clothes stating this colour.
I would just like to highlight that these shops should thoroughly study the actual meaning and definition of the colour 'teal' before stating it in reference to their clothes.
Teal according to dictionary definitions is actual ' a blue-green colour or of a bluish shade of green or equal parts of blue and green'.
This colour below is obtained from wikipedia.
Yet recently, many blogs state teal as the colour of the clothes but when you purchase it either turns out blue or green. I have many times experienced this situation and so have my friends. I am truly fed up of such events happening. probably it would be beneficial if these store owners actually studied the definitions of this colour prior to stating it in their blogs. It would be much better to state it as more to greenish or more to blue than stating teal as the colour.
Some blogs even state blue as turquoise. And once you've purchased it, its just plain blue.
It is a necessity for sellers to know the colours deeply before tagging it to the clothing that they are selling. There is a significance difference between teal and turquoise and also light blue and green. It would be safer as I've stated to tag it as greenish blue or blusih green, then its up to the buyer to judge.
In the casee I've encountered, although checked multiple times, the item received still deceives the purpose.
Quite dissapointing, hopefully our sellers would be more careful in tagging. Not everything is either teal or turquoise just because thats the 'IN' colour now. Some are plain baby blue.
No offence to anyone but some examples beow of some clothing with different colour codings.
The Clossette states it as green where as Piper Lips states it as teal.

The Dainty Dresser states as teal where as TicTacToe states as Turquoise. (I believe its more to turquoise blue).
-a dissapointed buyer-

in reference to *this*

-------------------
Dear FT,

We would like to clarify that the bikinis we are selling currently is of a registered/controlled price brand. The prices shown are the retail price that you can get all over Malaysia and we have agreed upon a deal made with the manufacturer that we can only sell at this retail price or they would banned us from getting supplies from them anymore. That is why we have to revised our prices according to the manufacturer. The actual retail price is US$ 60-85 per set and that doesn't include shipping if purchase was to be made directly from the manufacturer. It is evident that our prices are much lower than the retail price set by the manufacturer. If prices can be found any lower than that of the retail price set, it is a possibility that counterfeit products have emerged in the market. If there is any other sites that sell cheaper than the retail price, we can report this to the manufacturer as they might be of a pirated version. Rest assured that this brand of bikini is of a high quality product (Designed in Japan). Thank you.

Hi FT

Just would like to alert you on the matter of swim wear. Some of them look really awesome online and for a great price too. But alas, I once made a purchase, it was sheer and totally not meant for swimming! Just as well I wore a top over it or else the horror! When I asked the owner about it, her response was: "Oh, I didn't know u intend to go swimming in it". I mean, come on, a bikini is a swim wear, meant for swimming isn't it?

And while the following isn't the same items, but similar I believe but whoa.. the price difference is outrageous! I mean, especially since it isn't branded and we really cannot tell the quality of it through pictures. Thought you should take a look for yourself

Hi i'm writing from the point of view as a seller.

i was so pissed and disappointed when i went to 3K this morning to set up my booth. i knew there was a lot of stalls participating, but i didn't know it was THIS MANY!! there was so many vendors, if i'm not wrong, there's close to 60 stalls!! and it was supposed to be only 45 stalls! (correct me if i'm wrong)

the whole bazaar is disorganized. the organizer herself did NOT turn up for this event. she sent a friend, which, many said became her "kambing korban" because she got many scoldings from other sellers. the whole situation was tensed and stress among all sellers especially this morning when most stalls were yet to set up. she totally didn't meet the needs of us sellers.

it was terrible. i just feel so cheated that i paid so much money in rental and hoping that the stall position would at least be worth the money. but it was NOT.

seriously, i wonder how is the next bazaar gonna be? she's organizing another one in june, if im' not wrong . and the rental is even higher this time!!! i certainly would not join it again.

3K BAZAAR is just around the corner.

we bet most of you are already more than familiar with these two posters.

but we want u, FT readers, to do is...
be a spy for us!

more than 50 vendors will be participating in this event.
and this is the perfect opportunity for u all to get to know them, get 1-hand experience of their customer service, see whether they're friendly or not, observe how they treat customers, watch their manners and the way they carry themselves..

so after all these, all readers are welcome to EMAIL US their feedback on the eshop owners that u've visited. whether it's positive or negative comments. we'll gather all your emails together and post it up at one go (of course, after seeking clarification - if needed- from the respective eshop owners).

sometimes u may not know how a particular eshop owner is like until u really talk to them and interact with them. this is the time where u can do all that and also tell the world what u like and what u dont like about them.

also for sellers, do take this positively =) guess through this, all sellers will be on their "best behaviours"? who knows.

--- thus, send in your emails!!

thank u and hope everyone participates!!
