Announcement

The current management behind the FT team is different now.
U all may be wondering why did we switch from BoF to FT, here's several reasons.

1. the layout in FT is so much easier and organized. (we can't seem to find a good layout for BoF)
2. FT already have its own logo, and most people have already linked FT.

Do note that we have ammended the notes at the sidebar etc. ya.

Thank u.! Email us at : fashion.truth@gmail.com

Dear FT,

This is my first time trying out online shopping and I stumbled upon THIS blog while searching for a bag.

25/04/09 - Saturday
I saw this pretty oversized bag and decides (albeit wary coz its my first time purchasing something online) to place an order on the order form. As promised, my order has been processed within 24 hours and a confirmation has been sent to me by the next day on the 26th of April 09 (Sunday).

I then sent an email in response to the confirmation asking:

"Just wanna ask, if I were to bank in the amount tomorrow, when will the postage arrive? Thanks ya!"

and the response is friendly:
"The bag is still with my supplier, if tomorrow you bank in before 12pm, I will place order from her, Tuesday will reach to me, and Wednesday you can receive ya :) Thank you."

27/04/09 - Monday
I went to bank in the money for the seller at 2.20pm, later than 12pm due to the heavy rain (she is informed of the delay). I then took a picture of the receipt after the transaction and MMS-ed it to her stating

"Hi dear, I just banked in the amount. sorry again for the inconvenience."

The seller did not respond to the MMS nor confirm receipt of the MMS UNTIL I sent her a message at approximately 11pm that night asking:

"Hey gal, did u receive my mms this afternoon? I banked in the amount ady. "

Only then did seller reply "Yea, I got it."

It is written on seller's site that items will be sent within 1-3 days. So since seller told me that item would be reaching by Wednesday, I waited keeping in mind that it would be delayed for one day since I banked in bout 2 hours late.

29/04/09 - Wednesday
However I received no news from seller since that last message on Monday night. Till Wednesday morning, I sent seller a message:

"Morning girl. *me* here. Just wanna ask if the bag is gonna arrive today coz i hv somewhere to go after this n won't be around."

Surprisingly, she replied "My supplier will send today or tomorrow to me wor. When will you come back?". Today or tomorrow as in Wednesday or Thursday? I thought she is supposed to send within 1-3 working days upon payment? I paid the full amount 2 days ago! And she has yet to receive the bag from her seller despite stating on the blogshop that the item is a [Ready Stock]??

So I told her that "I'll be back by next Tuesday or so.
", of which she suggested that she'll send the item on Monday instead. I have no objections with that, and even wished her luck for her exams.

01/05/09 - Friday
She sent me an email stating:

"So sorry to inform you the grey one out of stock already, my supplier went to Singapore during post few days, just only responded to me. Are you okay with the black one instead? Please reply asap ya."

I have no access to the internet coz I was out of town till Tuesday therefore no reply was forwarded

03/05/09 - Sunday
The seller waited till around 1am today to send me a message stating:

"Hey babe just recalled you're out of town till tuesday. My supplier told me the grey office bag is out of stock. Do let [me] know if you're ok with the black one ya"

I told her "Ya, I'm okay with the black one. Thanks ya." Although its a little disappointing not getting what I ordered for but I don't want to cause her any trouble with having to refund. What definition of ready stock is this? Let other blogshop owners define what is ready stock when its still in the hands of the seller, after so long!

05/05/09 - Tuesday
Despite being promised that my bag will be sent on Monday and arrive by today, it has failed to arrive. I waited patiently. No news from her either.

06/05/09 - Wednesday
And the bag is suppose to arrive already. Yet it has not... I'm so afraid that my money is absconded by now... My RM52 for the bag and RM10 for postage. Still no news from her.

07/05/09 - Thursday
Today marks the 10th day since I made payment to the seller. As a first timer, i kept in mind patience is virtue but this has been too long a wait... So i texted her:

"Hi gal, just wanna ask if u've posted the item. "

She responded:
"Are you *me*? Yes I've sent it yesterday. You should receive today ya."
She is suppose to send it on Monday. Why is it that she sent it on a Wednesday?

I can't wait to receive the bag and finally received it later today. I saw from the slip that postage is only RM6.95! She charged me for RM10, delivered the item so late, and did not suggest to refund me the postage when she posted the item! So I sent her a message to ask.

"Hi gal, *me* here. Received the bag ady. May i know why is the postage rm10? And since its so long delayed and not in the colour i ordered for."

Have at least the curtosy to OFFER a refund of postage coz you've broken so many conditions in our agreement already! She kept quiet about the extra postage charge until I asked. What if I didn't? She will continue to be silent on it and give all the other Blogshops a bad name.

******************************

Here's the conversation in SMS, turbo emotions: -

Seller: "You told me you're okay with the black one didn't you? The postage I estimated wrongly. I can refund you alright?"

Me: "Please do. I'm okay with the black but I saw the postage price on the slip."

Seller: "please understand I've never seen the bag before and from the picture it looks heavy. I'm sorry for this mistake. Pls provide your bank acc."
(Previously she says the bag would reach her first then she post to me. Now, she says she have not seen the bag. What is this?)

Me: "*bank account number*. May I know the amount of refund?"
Seller: "3.05 since i charged you 10 right?"
Me: "K. Thanks." ... "Please inform ur customers next time if its not ready stock and that u've not seen it. Its fairly misleading."

Seller: (here comes the retaliation) "It's ready stock with my supplier. I can't possibly say it's pre-order. If not my customer will think it takes 3 weeks to reach here, right? "

Me: "If its ready stock, the stock shld be with u. Time taken for stock to reach u from ur supplier does not categorize it. Especially when u hv no clue on availability of stock."

*after quite some time*

Seller: "Okay. It's all my fault. rm10 will be refunded to your account as compensation ok? Thx."
- END -
************************************************************

Dear reader, you be the judge. Its my first time shopping online, I've spend extra money just to wait for my purchase to arrive much later than expected and have compromised with the colour of my bag. I'm willing to spend that money if the seller gives good services as promised. Good services won't include extra hidden charge and harsh tones would it? Other Blogshops and Buyers knows best.

--------------------------------------------
from Shoppink Queen

Dear fashion truth,

firstly i would like to make myself clear that i did not use harsh tones during the whole conversation. as she posted all the emails and sms, you can see i did not use harsh words or tones. i admit it's all my fault letting her waited for so long but me too did not get any responses from my supplier. i know as a buyer, she paid for the best services, but pls do understand that i'm still an undergraduate packed with assignments and tests. really busy these days so i could hardly response to her. until now i still have assignment to be completed although this is one week before my final exam. alright, no point finding myself excuses. i admit that i'm at fault this time, shouldn't have updated my blog knowing myself so busy would not have time for all these. since this is the case, i'd like to request that she returns the bag and i shall refund full amount to her, i did not want my customer to have dissatisfaction like this. thank you.

Hi FT,

This is my first time writing to you, after ready so much of the stories and also the comparison of prices between blogshops.

I have been shop online for quite some time. There are many blogshop disappoint me, but there are also many blogshop satisfy me as well.

I have bought a few dresses from Heaven For Angels. She is a really nice seller. Cause I have troubles in looking for dresses, as my shoulder is quite broad. She doesn't mind giving me a lot of fashion ideas, and also recommendations. She even keeping me safe from buying the wrong dress. I may have buy more, but she advice me not to, as some of the dresses will not suit me. I have received the dresses yesterday, and I love them! All fits me well. And also, I get discount and free poslaju from her, hehe. As I bought 5 pieces. Lol... I think she is a really genuine seller. Two thumbs up for her!

Thank you so much!

Hi FT.
This is my first time writing here. Kudos to FT since it's really a brilliant website/medium to both customers and blogshop owners. Anyway, I wouldn't have email you until this get on my nerves.

I understand that blogshop owners have the need to advertise by sending mails to all the previous customers that bought stuffs from them. I'm okay with it as I can always inform them that I would like to unsubscribe from their updates subscriptions :D

But nowadays, I get mails from MANY blogshops in my mailbox even if I never buy anything from the blogshop before, or even worst I never visit/heard of the blogshop. It's really annoying as I have to reply each of them to inform that I would like to unsubscribe from their updates. I have no idea where did they get my email address from.

I would like to express this to all blogshops owner that this might annoy most people especially when the customer did not request to be listed in the mailing list.

Please understand. Thanks! :)

Dear FT,
I wonder if I'm the first guy writing here =). But I suppose it's safe to assume that the majority of online fashion shoppers are made up of the fairer sex. I have to admit that prior to this purchase, I have never shopped online before. Thus I was brimming with anticipation during the process of my first purchase!
I was searching for something as a present for my friend's birthday, and being relatively unfamiliar with the hundreds of blogshops out there, only a few outstanding blogs captured my attention. One of them happened to be Hazel Mazel. Their blog's layout is simple, detailed and browsing through it was surprisingly easy (especially for a guy with a distinct lack of fashion knowledge). What impressed me further is the clarity and significance of their photographs which makes their products stand out even further.
I informed the owner that I was buying this as a gift, and she offered free gift wrapping service! She was even able to accommodate my request of wrapping them separately. It was definitely a pleasant surprise, and it saved the hassle of wrapping the stuff, which I totally suck at.
Overall, Hazel Mazel conducted their sales in a very efficient and friendly manner and I couldn't be more satisfied with my first ever online purchase =).
p.s. The blogshop owner is pretty hot too!
Regards
Satisfied guy

Hey, FT!
I just want to compliment the services given by We Heart Sundays. This is what happened.. I told WHS that I wanted the leopard tights that she was selling last month (midst of April), but I told her I could only COD with her on the following month. She okay-ed me. It's quite generous for her to reserve for me for more than 2 weeks.
We decided on the day to COD. On the day itself, we were supposed to meet up at 1Utama, but in the end I went to Curve instead. So, I asked her if she could COD there, she said okay! She's so nice!
Okay, at Curve, she called and she said she's at north entrance (at the same time, I was in IKANO). Before that, I texted her saying that we could meet up at IKANO instead because I was there. So, she was like.. "Oh, it's okay, I'll go to IKANO now. Where are you?" I was really touched by her actions. It's definitely my fault to change COD place frequently. I felt REALLY bad.
Okay, we met up, but the tights were not in the same colour as it shows in the blog. Maybe it was my clumsy mistake to see the wrong colour or wtv, I hesitated if I really want to get it. T_T She asked me whether I still want it or not, I felt SO bad! I couldn't say "no", but if I buy it, I'll end up selling it again. So, I asked her, "can ah?", then she said, "why not?"
I was sooo touched! It was ALL my fault, yet she thinks of the customers' needs. I really like her customer services and her big tees are gorgeous. I would really want to buy from her next time. Hehe.
Anyway, I really want to apologize for the inconvenience caused, and I want to thank you for forgiving me! T.T Thank you!

Dear FT,
I'm an avid shopper and I love shopping being online or via retail shopping.

I've started e-shopping sometime 6 months ago when I stumble upon some blogshop and have begun buying things online ever since, along my buying process I've come across some really nice seller and some that just doesn't seems to be interested in selling thier stuff.

Kudos to afashionstory I've been buying things from her online, and 2 weeks ago I was really busy with work and I've ordered something from her at her blogshop, I told her that it wasn't convenient me to pay her as I was busy with her and does not have connection to my bank acc, thus I asked her to hold on to my item until I'm able to have my access bank acc to transfer the money to her. Maybe because I've been buying items from her, she actually send the item out to me even though I have not paid for it and told me that i can pay her when I'm able to access the internet.... It was soo nice of her!

Secondly is bunnynoo, I bought a dress from her, and made a mistake in the payment, instead of the total bill of 59, I've accidentally paid only RM56 to her acc, she did send a email later saying that the actual price is RM59 instead of RM56 and have sent the item out, I appologise for my mistake and told her that I would pay her back the RM3, instead of accepting it, she told me to take the RM3 as a discount! I'm really really happy, coz I've also previously made a mistake with another blogshop for a similiar scenario, and the other blogshop wasn't as nice and will not send my shipment out until I pay the RM2!

There are many other blogspot which I've bought from and generally all of them are very nice; such as beautyparadise who mail me me some minor difference in the shoes so that I don't get a suprise when i get my shoes, although I'm still waiting for my shoe; purplecharm is another example of responsible blogshop owner, she made a mistake by typing the wrong color on the blog for one of the clincher, and she quickly rectify it by informing me of the color and was patient reserving the clincher for me and givimg me time to go online to check on the clincher color, she could have just send it out to me and said different people have different definition of color but she did the right thing, I'm for sure I'll buy from her again!

Overall there is so many nice blogshop owner and its just too long to list them out!

With all these nice people, its of course I've come across the NOT so nice people, such as Kiss and Tell, I've ordered a pair of shoe from her blogspot, and have made arrangement for COD, since I didn't have her hp no, I gave her mine and ask her to call me if there's any changes in the COD time/date; when we made arrangement to meet over at SS2, she didn't turn up and didn't call at all! thus although that shoe is still available at her blogshop, I've decided that I do not want it anymore!

The worst blogshop owner I've come across is Crocs Closet! being a big fan of shoes, I've in total ordered 3 pairs of crocs from her and had paid her full for the shoe(my one time order is 3 pairs), my first pair of crocs that I've got from her, although I told her I want size 8, and i wear it, it was actually size 7!!!! knowing that its a smaller size I accepted it coz crocs is streachable as such I didn't mind too much, and before order, she promise that the shoes will come in crocs bag and tag as her item is ori! my first pair did not come with the bag or tag as promised, but she did put a nice looking note to apologize, which I thought she should have at least mailed to appologize instead of putting a print out note to appologize, since I've paid for the other 2 shoes, I remain silence coz i badly wanted to get my shoes. In total I waited 3 week for another 2 pairs of shoes, and she mailed me and said that the other pair the supplier didn't have stocks as such I would not have that! I mad because if the supplier didn't have stocks, she should have know earlier and not last minute to inform me, and since my order she have been mistakenly mixed up my order, because in some of our email, she list down my total order which was different from what I ordered, and when I remind her of her mistake she just brush it off and said that she is very busy and there was a total 3 people with the same name as me as such she made the mistake!

My last straw came when I receive my 3rd shoes, i order size 8, and although it was printed size 8 on the shoes, i could not fit into my leg at all! as such I decided to give it to my mother who is a size 6! and even my mother couldn't fit into the shoe as said that it was very very tight! imagine this, it written size 8 and I a size 8 cannot wear it and my mum a size 6 also could not fit into it, it clearly show that the shoe was actually size smaller then size 6!!! she should have at least inform the buyer that cutting runs small or check the shoe before sending it out, it was only recently I learn that, blogshop owner who are able to claim that their crocs is authentic is actually rejected stocks as there is defect in the product such as wrong printing of size! and the blog owner did not highlight this in her blog!

Phew.... I've written alot.. but that aside, bottomline is that I think certain blogowner are very responsible while some are just taking advantage of us consumers!

Thank you FT for posting this up!

-------------------
from Crocs Closet

to FT,
regarding to the complaint above, i'm truly sorry. as far as i concern, i am only having one complaint for the very 1st pre-order in last february, but she ordered 2 pairs instead of 3 pairs. to the buyer, please email/sms me if u're the one, i'd love to sort this out with u :)

yes i am only selling authentic crocs, and i am still here since i last started this business 3 months ago. i still have repeating customers n new one coming in still. pls take note, that there are few pairs came without the hang tag & plastic like i promised, but that doesnt mean it's not genuine. im trying hard to urge the supplier to make sure that all pairs come with at least the plastic bag.

as for the delaying, i even stated in my blog that it is all pre-order items, we need at least 2-3 weeks time for them ro reached malaysia. im sure she's as the avid online shopper, she's aware of the pre-order rule.

and also in my rules n regulations no 5, its cleary written that
Advanced payment is needed for pre-order/restocking. Should we fail to restock the items for you, refund will be given. to those who's ever deal with any other crocs blog selling online, im sure the stock that arrived sometimes differ from the earlier order. it happened bcos final stocks in supplier hands always vary from the first order that we placed. sorry if that offended any of the sellers out there.

tq for informing me, i will measured all the pairs that i have in hands, before shipping it out, to avoid the same incident in future. although all shoes are not refundable n exchangeable, i did exchanged few pairs to my customers.
i am always being considerate to my customers, as long as u keep me informed. to those unhappy customer, i can also do the same thing to u girl :)

i have returning customers too. they even praised us for the service. i hope buyers out there can understand this matter. it wouldnt be prolong if u've emailed/sms me telling the problem. it's always the 2 ways communication works, i know.

from Kiss & Tell

Dear FT,

I would like to thank you in advance for forwarding this to me, as I didn't even know myself that I was supposed to meet the buyer, as I thought nothing was confirmed yet.

Upon receiving this mail, I check through all my emails and realised it was my mistake and already apologized to the buyer. It is definitely my fault and I will not deny it. Once again, I would like to apologize to her once again for not being able to meet her up due to miscommunication.

Thank you FT, you made me learn from my mistake and I will definitely manage things more profesionally and serious in the future!

Appreciate your time for doing all this as it not only allow buyers to rant & praise blogshop owners but also allow blogshop owners to learn from their mistake and handle everything more professionally and to be a perfectionist in the future.

Have a good day!
