Hello FT!
First off I'd like to say that Fashion Truth is awesome for giving everyone a way to speak out, be it about constructive critism or praises. As a result, I've been reading very often to keep up with the price differences, and sometimes even the drama!
I read about the post by Reader 218, and speaking of gifts and freebies, I'd like to commend LaVie Marionette, as she mailed me my baju with a little gift inside, to my surprise! This was about a month ago, but her kindness is still fresh in my mind. Here is what happened:
I had ordered a striped long top from her, and it was priced at RM43. As I had no time and transport to get to a bank soon, I asked a friend of mine to bank in the money through cash deposit. Well, cash deposit machines don't accept small change, so the only option was to bank in an RM50 note, and have my change included in the parcel. Later that day, my friend informed me of having completed that task and I in turn, informed LaVia Marionette that I had already banked in the RM50. Unfortunately, I was informed the next day that the clearance of my payment was not confirmed yet, so I double checked with my friend and it turns out that instead of banking in an RM50, my friend had banked in the exact change of RM43 into the account. So I informed LaVie Marionette about this, by that time she had recieved my payment, which wasnt RM43 but RM50 instead. Confusing eh? I insisted that it was RM43, but she only said RM50 was deposited into her account, and asked if I was sure it was RM43. Well anyway we didnt make a big fuss out of it, and I didn't expect any change as I stood my ground about the right amount being banked in.
So she mailed out my parcel, and as excited as I was when I got my cute top, there was a little something wrapped up, which I opened to find a little necklace in it. Then I realized that even though there was a extra RM7 in question, whether or not it was a mistake, she went out of her way to make it up for that RM7 that I might've paid extra. Even though I was pretty sure I didn't.
Well, there is no need to say how pleased and impressed I was, as well as touched that she even thought of a way to make up for a mere RM7 that could've been extra.. or not. Which means that would've been a little risky on her part. So kudos to LaVie Marionette!
And kudos to all the other blogshop owners who didn't mind rounding off their prices to the nearest and lower 10, like RM41, or 42 to RM40, as I use cash deposit machines and having the small change part is rather inconvenient. Thanks so much!
