The current management behind the FT team is different now.
U all may be wondering why did we switch from BoF to FT, here's several reasons.

1. the layout in FT is so much easier and organized. (we can't seem to find a good layout for BoF)
2. FT already have its own logo, and most people have already linked FT.

Do note that we have ammended the notes at the sidebar etc. ya.

Hi FT.

i would like to have the opinion of the public on this matter :

Clothes sold online may be of poorer quality compared to outside. This statement varies depending on the item itself, right? well. in my opinion, i dont expect top-notch quality when i purchase from online stores. Even for blogshops that is very reputable and claims that they only bring in quality goods, i dont trust them. i've personally purchased from one of this "reputable" stores before and was disappointed because there was a hole in the dress! However, although there's a hole in the dress, i was marveled at the service that was given to be by that store. She was willing to give me a full refund, and allowed me to keep that dress.

BUT recently, i purchased this dress from Store Q. I got the dress, was happy, because it looked nice. During COD, when i felt the material, it felt plastic-ish. polyester type, i think. but i couldn't remember what was the description on the website regarding the material, so i thought i myself have forgot that it was polyester cotton. However, when i checked the website, the material was stated as : THICK COTTON.
Polyester Cotton and Thich Cotton is VERY DIFFERENT

i went home, tried on the dress, and felt uncomfortable due to the stiff POLYESTER COTTON. it's sooooo different compared to THICK cotton. i can't believe that seller actually thought of saying it's thick cotton. anyway, since i can fit in the dress pretty nicely (although the elastic band at the back was loose, the girl said a girl about the same size as me could wear it. and i figured it wasn't a big problem, so i just left it aside).

few days later (or was it about 2 weeks), i can't remember. i dont wash my clothes that quickly, especially clothes that require hand washing. Anyway, when i hand washed it, the colour ran. it's a black dress. i understand that some shirts/dresses ' colour would run, so i didn't bother. washed it, took it out to hang, and when i ironed it, i noticed the COLOUR WAS DIFFERENT!

the BLACK colour was no longer the RICH BLACK that i saw when i first received the dress. it was faded black. as if the dress is an old dress.!!! i WAS FURIOUS!. who wouldn't ?!

i emailed the seller, and she said that she wouldn't know since they dont wash the dress before selling. OK. GRANTED. but the thing is, The dress that was sold to me is NOT IN GOOD QUALITY when the colour actually ran! the colour faded!! if the colour runs to a certain extent, i'm ok, as long as after wash dried and ironed the clothes still look good and new. but this is certainly not the case.

to everyone, what are your opinion on this matter?

This is pretty tricky because I don't think this is the problem of online shops only. Even tops we buy from retail shops that we can see, try, and feel the material, we wouldn't know whether the colour would run out. I've had a couple of blouses which looks so faded after washing the first time. It breaks the heart, I know. :(.

My friend once told me that her sister bought a jacket with a hood. And inside the hood there is a black string which pulls and tightens the hoodie. The jacket was white. And when she washed it, the black colour ran and TOTALLY SPOILED the WHOLE jacket.

So maybe about the polyester/thick cotton issue, if it was written on the label, then the blogshop owner should have stated as what it is. That's my opinion. Maybe they have overlooked it, I guess.

hmmm. this is a tricky one. i guess if possible, the sellers should ask their wholesalers whether the colour of the clothes will lari when washing. i think ppl should be able to tell by feeling the material.

in your case, i think that the seller really did not know that the colour will fade so easily. on the other hand, she did promise you good quality but you did not get what you were promised. so it's tough to say who's wrong.

i really don't care and won't believe when the shop claims to be selling amazing quality clothes. i won't believe unless i've bought and experienced it for myself. those claims to have "high quality clothes", to me, is really just a sales gimmick these days.

plus, the term "high quality" is really subjective and will vary from one person to another. some people are happy with certain quality, while others may think the same item is not good enough.

it definitely feel sucks if i encountered same prb with you. in fact i did, from an online supplier. i stopped getting stocks from them after that.

i would tell in advance to customers on the materials coz i wouldnt wanna offend anyone..i'm a shopper too, afterall.

color wise, i gotta say, we dont wash it before we sell it out. so it's kinda difficult to judge. but what i normally do is to ask the supplier if the color would fade, or what's the best way to maintain the color, the proper way to wash the clothes. That's what sellers can do.

Buyers should ask as well before they make the purchase. So tha both parties are aware.

This is just a 2cent opinion from my :)

I've experienced similar story..

I'm selling this 1 pre-loved cardi. A customer already make payments, and so that night I was trying to wash it. Next thing i realized is that the cardi became 'berbulu2'!! That surprised me because i never thought it'll be that much obvious and totally ruined. I told the buyer about that and asked whether she wants other items, or i'll refund.

She said it's ok and looking for other items. And that settled it. Thank u sooo much to my dear customer!!

:P

yeah..this is pretty tricky.the blame is not only for online shops but also other retail outlets.i once bought myself a pretty branded clothes..washed it and the color ran out.online shops cannot be blamed.it might be a pretty usual things depending on the material oh i dont know what else of the item.
