Seller 56
hi
i'm a seller and i read that alot of sellers gave full refund or resend the same item to the buyer if the items didn't reach the buyer.
i know it's out of kindness for doing so.
but would a seller be considered as inconsiderate, rude, selfish if she doesn't do so?

Well, this can go both ways. For one, it's natural for the buyer to be really upset if the item doesn't reach them because the fact is, they paid for the item and for the postage fee, so they'd definitely turn to the seller to somehow compensate them for their loss. And the seller, in order to maintain a good relationship between the buyer AND to preserve the good name of their business, would feel obligated to compensate. Lost items happens only once in a while (or so I hope), and what's one stock loss compared to the possibility of losing a lot of customers in the future? Since, what I hear, many of the "established" blogshops get business from customers who are regulars.
On the other hand, items not reaching the buyer isn't technically the seller's fault, but Pos Malaysia's. Presuming the seller has taken all the necessary care to make sure the item is sent, can the buyer really blame the seller if the item doesn't reach them? :/ Granted, it isn't fair for the buyer to gain nothing from the money spent, but it isn't fair to force the obligation on the seller either.
Personally, I think sellers should give full refunds or resend the same items to the buyer if such a thing happens. This kind of things happen in online shopping, so they should be prepared for such risks.
But that's just me. :)
