Announcement

The current management behind the FT team is different now.
U all may be wondering why did we switch from BoF to FT, here's several reasons.

1. the layout in FT is so much easier and organized. (we can't seem to find a good layout for BoF)
2. FT already have its own logo, and most people have already linked FT.

Do note that we have ammended the notes at the sidebar etc. ya.

Seller 64

Dear FT,
I agree with Seller 61 and Seller 62 100%. I don't mean to carry this on (commenting on buyer's do's and dont's) but i feel like i have to say this as i've read it many times on your cbox. I see lots of buyers, when they are unsatisfied with the seller who send out late shipping due to class/exams and such, they'll say things like "if u're so busy then close your blogshop la' or 'if no time to do business then why open in the first place?". Honestly, it is kind of harsh.
Most of the sellers i know are students and obviously we got classes, assignments, exams and such. But we are NOT busy all the time, maybe the buyer caught the seller during a bad moment, say during exam week or the week to submit assignments, presentations and all so i'm begging buyers to please understand this. So their comments asking us to close our blogshops is really ridiculous. We might be free last week but we can also be super busy the next week. Not everyone in the world has the same class schedule.
Of course we sellers will try our best to post the item asap but if we're too busy we might have to postpone the shipping. I'm sure most sellers will notify the buyer of the delay so please, respect the seller.
I had this customer who took such a long time to pay that when the payment is finally made, my schedule is hectic and i was super busy. I explained to her and she said the exact same thing to me, told me to not open a blogshop if i'm too busy.
Excuse me, i'm only busy for three days not for three months so please dont go saying things without thinking. Why is it okay for buyers to take a long time to pay up but it is not okay if the seller cant make the shipping on time? Because customers are always right? Sorry, i think that can only be said to a certain extent. Buyers aren't always right in every situation. I just get really upset that buyers dont seem to understand that sellers have things to do in their life too, just like them. And most importantly, sellers that are still students have to put their education first. So don't blame them for delaying the shipping. Unless they dont say anything then ok, but most sellers will sure inform theire buyers.
Maybe it is the buyers who are the ones who should not shop online if u're to impatient and have no respect for other people. U demand things to be sent on certain days and yes, we do try to oblige but if we're too busy/something suddenly happens (accident or anything we cant forecast) and we explain to you, PLEASE understand the situation. Some buyers who make prompt payment are super nice when i told them that i have to delay postage due to certain reasons but some are just hell to deal with. So to buyers out there, i do hope u can change your mentality and accept that sellers have a life too, they're not born to serve your every needs and whims.

To those seller, if you are a student, why don't u just concentrate on ur study?instead of earning money when you're still a student?I'm a customer and a worker. If you want to earn our hard earn money, please give us a best service!Woww..aren't you expect to earn easy money and give us a unsatisfied service?

this is exactly the attitude of buyers that have no respect for sellers.

u said u r a worker so obviously u have some busy and free time rite? same as student sellers too. they are not busy ALL the time and sometimes it is only for like two days, so cant buyers please respect that?
maybe sellers cant post on monday, we can only make it on wednesday, whats wrong with that? just two days, not two weeks. but of course if a buyer is very pleasant to deal with, makes prompt payment etc sellers will definitely give the best service, but some buyers pay late, are rude and expect same day delivery.

come on la, dont be selfish, some students need side income and this is their way. we just want a bit of respect. OF COURSE we will give the best service but what if we got presentation on certain days or someone dies or something, cant u just understand that sellers are human and not robots who are free all the time.
like workers too, if we want to meet 11am, sure cannot rite, cos working hours. or maybe a working buyer promises to pay friday afternoon but suddenly got unexpected meeting, need to fill in for boss or what then cannot make payment, have to postpone, everyone has to understand la different people got different life.
students also got time/day when they can and cannot do transactions. we're not giving unsatisfactory service, we just need respect. if buyers work things out with sellers, i'm sure things can run smoothly. just dont be rude and get angry/disappointed too easily.

well said, natalie. i agree with you. Sellers expect their buyers to understand their every problems and dificulty to adjust their time to manage their blogshop.

Think about it, buyers sometimes have to pay extra more for their items to be delivered. So obviously they will demand for good service.

And to think about it again, blogshop prices these days aren't exactly affordable and cheap anymore, sometimes when i see their pricing, it is even more pricier than shopping mall. Worst, you can't try them and it has no return policy.

For eg, I saw this exact dress that was sold in a blogshop for RM25 (excluding shipping), but in a boutique it was only RM19.

I think sometimes buyers cancel last minute is because they probably saw the item cheaper elsewhere but got no guts to tell. Lol...

Wow, your comment is really harsh. And thoughtless.

If your money is hard-earned, then is the money earned by these blogshop student-sellers not hard-earned?

Their days spent hunting for supplies, traveling costs to suppliers (and I don't think they go to just one) and post office, time spent for item-hunting, modeling clothes (not easy easy), pics taking, editing pics and answering emails/smses and wrapping purchases and lining up at the post office just to post out your items... This is easy money you say?

Why can't they be given some slack during their exam times? It's the same scenario as if we, working adults, had a project deadline coming up, working OT, blablah, can't attend 100% to our online business or can't post our the items the very next day... So what? The working adult gets an understanding nod but the student gets "shot at" left right center?

A bit of a double-standard here ey?

That being said, this does not permit one to conveniently use "school work" as an excuse though. Once in a while, yes. But not all the time.

I applaud them for being independent and earning money for themselves, instead of entirely depending on their parents. In fact, they should be encouraged but advised not to neglect their studies at the same time.

Yours truly,
A Customer + Worker + Seller
